The very best of the road is 2-3 lane and it slows down to 45 mph when you get to Sterling. Troopers police at least 20 mi either side of Sterling and 20 mi South of Soldotna. No warnings, only tickets, even at 11:55pm with not another vehicle in sight.

Comment (5/2003): the time of day and whether there was another car in sight is not relevant. if you speed and drive stupidly, you deserve a ticket.

Comment (6/2003): Again, easy for you to say when you "can't" get a ticket.

Comment (5/2004): I got a ticket for 17 over when I was 16. I made a mistake, I sucked it up and drove on. Quit whining. If we follow the traffic laws, specifically the speed LIMIT which is posted for ideal conditions, we won't be stopped.
