Usually two patrol cars involved, one unmarked on overpass and marked patrol car on offramp. Usually watching Southbound traffic in morning and Northbound in evening.
Comment (11/2003): There is no reason to exceed the speed limit. Driving 65 will allow you to arrive to your destination in a timely manner. Any criticisms of the police officers is whining because you refuse to obey the law. From a seasoned patrol officer.
Comment (12/2003): Alot of dead deer in this area from cars slow down
Comment (4/2004): i used to drive out to birchwood regularly, and get off on this exit. i only saw the trap a few times, but it is a hard one to see, as there are very few lights around. i have seen the car on the on ramp, almost impossible to avoid the trap. not really worth going too fast (over 85) as its very dark at and cant see any moose.
Comment (03/2008): Actually there are no deer in this part of Alaska. There are moose [much bigger & more dantgerous to collide with].
Comment (06/2008): Please don\'t drive over 120mph.
