This peticular speed trap is north of Springdale about 15 miles,about the time 540 turns into us 71.About a couple of miles before Bella Vista you will find that State Troopers sit under the over passes,the last 3 times i have been through there,there was a trooper hanging out there.I was almost busted there this past weekend ,so watch out.

Comment (3/2005): I live in Bella Vista and work in Bentonville. I drive I-540 everyday usually during normal rush hours and fairly often during lunch and on the weekends. I do see the occasional state patrol car under the overpasses but not very often. I drive around 74 in a 70 zone and have never been pulled. This area does not qualify as a speed trap by any stretch of the imagination.

Comment (6/2005): What a false statement. I drive this stretch every day. Sometimes up to 5 times a day (with going to lunch) and I have seen a trooper once in the two years I have travelled it. Speed traps are bad, this is not one.

Comment (8/2006): I agree that this is not a speed trap.........occasional trooper, but, I believe, they are not pulling over anyone who doesnt deserve it. Area is well marked with speed limit signs....no surprises here.
