Officers will sit on the left or right side of the highway. There's usually more than one. One with the laser/radar and one for the chase. They're using Crown Vic and unmarked Camero. On occasion there might be a trooper standing off to the side motioning cars to pull over. This is a real hazard because cars are going from 70-80 mph down to 35-40 mph cutting multiple lanes without regard to side/ rear traffic.

Comment (6/2002): CT State Troopers also use an unmarked silver/gold 2002 Chevy Impala. Watch the hills on your left as you approach exit 2 west bound on 384. East bound expect a tooper on the right side heading down the hill to the 44/6 split, the overpass blocks your view until he has you.
