I got the ticket from end of August.

Comment (1/2005): Got one on Dec 27, 2004. Vehicle Speed: 38 MPH Posted Speed: 25 MPH $50 fine

Comment (10/2003): just got a ticket from the begining of Sept

Comment (1/2004): I got three stupid tickets within a month here. Didn't know about any of them until the first one came. Ugh, I hate this system.

Comment (3/2004): I received 2 today (3/18/04) dating back to 2/26/04! I called them up and found out that it takes 3.5 weeks to develop the photos, "verify the speed violation", and mail out the notice! They said I have 3 more on the way too. This is a ridiculous speed trap that targets the students of two local universities! Shame on Mayor Williams who was quoted on WTOP as saying the traps help increase revenue. How am I supposed to defend myself against an alleged infraction almost a month ago?? I don't even remember seeing a sign being posted or what I did that day. ARGHHH...

Comment (4/2004): i just got i ticket from 2 months ago

Comment (8/2004): Yup. A Ford Crown Vic sits parked on the right, to the west of the intersection of Irving Road and Michigan. This city, love it though I do, is a freaking joke with stuff like this.

Comment (1/2005): I received my very first ticket here! I was speeding, but I know a cop wouldn't have stopped me on this stretch at 10pm...only a camera would. Now I just avoid this stretch of Michigan Ave. North Capitol street near this intersection has a camera too, so be careful.

Comment (1/2005): The car is located right near the little shopping strip across the street from Trinity College. It always parks in the same spot underneath the street light.

Comment (5/2005): Beware of 100 Blk Michigan Avenue NE, westbound! The camera is still there.

Comment (6/2005): Be aware that the photo enforcement is of questionable legality. All you need to do to contest the ticket is say that you were not driving and do not know who was. There is no officer who can confront you in court and it is a 4 lane road with parking lanes that people could easily and reasonably mistake for a 35 mph zone. DO NOT pay these tickets. That is how it works, they hope you will pay without contesting. If you simply refuse to pay they cannot enforce.

Comment (8/2005): I agree.this "cash cow" is just waiting.i received a $100.ticket saying i was doing 41 in a 25 zone.but what is DC coming to?every few blks there's a camera.why not speed bums,if they're not about money.
