The trap is located in the 3400-3500 block of MacArthur Blvd, heading westbound. A Ford Crown Victoria idles in the far right lane, near the entrance to a cul de sac of new homes called MacArthur Place. The posted speed limit here is 25 mph, but most traffic is moving along at approximately 45-50 mph. This trap has been there for over a year and you can observe "seasoned" MacAruthur drivers pull into the center lane and drop to 25-30 mph for this one block of the Blvd. The Crown Victoria is most often seen during the evening rush hour and less often late night.

Comment (5/2004): I believe I saw it there this morning. 5/26/04

Comment (8/2004): I got a ticket from a speed camera it was around the 3700 blk of MacArthur. But they move the van (that's what I think) around. My friend got one on the 3200 block.

Comment (1/2005): The Crown Victoria is usually in that area during weeknight rush hour as people head back into DC; I've never seen it there on weekends.

Comment (11/2005): Is this the one close to Sibley Hospital? If so, I see it all the time.

Comment (03/2008): its usually a cop car with a radar right over a hill if your going SW. it seems to be there at random times.

At the Dupont Circle underpass, cop stands on right side of tunnel's end shooting radar down into the tunnel. Easy trap to fall into because usually you are just coming off of the hill into the tunnel.
