In the large median area next to Wal-mart in Gergetown, De. there is a huge stand of swamp grass. This is perfectly constructed to conceal the vehicle in BOTH directions as the officer runs radar. If you are 10 miles over "your're it"! Posted speed at the site is still 50 MPH. This stretch coming into town usually has people flowing around 70MPH. Exiting town it is far enouph from the light that anyone anxious to get on the open road ahead will accelerate right into the trap. Do 55-59 all the way past the light North of the Lumber yard.
Comment (12/2004): You're right. The road crews have just recently cut the grass down, but the cops still can hide in the driveways of businesses. You can't see them until too late, especially at night. They run laser all night until the wee hours of the morning, even when there is practically no traffic. This gives you a false sense of security because most other Police won't waste their time like this if the pickings are slim.

During daylight, the local Police stand on the shoulder of the northbound roadway, near their hidden cars with LIDAR. As motorists going north pass the County Jail and pass the "Welcome to Georgetown" sign, they are less than a mile ahead and get you with the laser before you can even see them. They step out and flag you over. They use two officers and can get two to three victims at a time. The speed limit is only 50 on this wide open straight stretch.Be careful in this town, they seem to have cops who love to write tickets.
