Police Cars On the Right side of the road 100 ft prior to the intersection

Comment (12/2004): They also set up on the left side.I have also seen them out on rt26 in vrious places.(near fire house,uncle willies and near the school.)

Comment (9/2005): Highway goes from 55 to 45 in a short time, then almost immediately to 35! Cop was IN FRONT of the 35mph marker too, didn't give any time to slow down. WATCH OUT

Comment (4/2006): I forgot to mention, the trap spoken about here is for traffic passing through bethany beach going towards Ocean city. Once the limit drops down to 35 mph approaching the intersection, it continues to be 35 for about a mile or so as you pass through. However, cops will set traps for the traffic LEAVING ocean city and coming through bethany beach through this stretch.

Comment (4/2006): This trap is one to pay attention to. The previous comments are accurate. The speed limit decreases so fast, you wont even know what hit you. the cop does hide slightly before the intersection, I've seen a cop there at 2pm and at 2am. Beware. This spot is their money maker.

Cop sits either in the median behind bushes on the left side of Rout 1 heading South. Or in the parking lot at the Water Tower on the right side, southbound.
