Police sit in either the church parking lot on the Westbound side w/of the firehouse or in the firehouse parking lot on the Eastbound side.

Comment (5/2005): An awful trap. I got caught doing 30 is a 25 zone WHILE DECELERATING and no other traffic on the road at all. Watch out while coming into Cheswold on Moorton Road and McKee Road, in either direction as well.

Comment (1/2006): I agree- I got caught about 20 feet past the speed limit 25 sign, which popped of quickly. The reduction in speed is too abrupt from 50- they need to post lowere limits well before Cheswald. I think it is set up to catch folks speeding. What a way to support the community.

Comment (3/2006): the speed limits in Cheswold are well posted, and decrease from 50 to 35 to 25. if you pay attention, it's not a problem. the local PD has been inactive for quite awhile, but are beginning to stir from a winter hibernation - use caution.

Comment (6/2006): My husband and I were driving in the town and had stopped for traffic before crossing 42 and we had a standard at the time. All of a sudden aStste Police jumped out in the road to stop us he said we were going 50 in a 25mph there was no way we could of been going that after just starting up frpm a dead stop.

Local police and state police monitor both Northbound and Southbound traffic. Local police vigerously enforce signal light violations thereat. Questionable situations.
