Comment (4/2006): This is absolutely correct. Be very careful in Boca Grande. Better yet, don't even bother because there are no decent restaurants or even stores here. Go down to Naples. The beaches are far more prettier, the cops are cool and you are wanted there. Keep away from Charlotte County. (Boca Grand is in fact on northern Lee County, but you have to go through Charlotte County to get there. Beware!) | |
Comment (6/2006): I agree with the previous comment. Charlotte County isn't as bad in the city itself, (I grew up there) but the outskirts are. They know so many people have to go through there to get to Boca Grande and Englewood, so they take advantage. The only thing worse than going that way is going through North Port Charlotte which is actually part of Sarasota County. AVOID North Port AT ALL COST. My mom never had a speeding ticket in her 42 years (at the time) but got her first one in Nort Port going 51 in a 45. | |
