Comment (3/2006): Definitely a speed trap. Engorcement is selective; Avondale Estates residents are exempted. Speed limit signs change within a short distance, setting up unwary drivers.

Comment (5/2006): I agree totally. Speed limit signs change a very short distance aaway from each other. Police looking for ways to make money by peering into your vehicle and trying to look for additional violations.

Comment (6/2006): YES! Something needs to be done about this. Another one is along Covington Hwy. going out of Avondale Estates. Officer was peering into my vehicle and scratched up my car. I need witnesses to help prove my case. Anyone who has been violated by these officers, please email me and help me fight back.

Comment (05/2008): Is there a formula for how much revenue can be raised by a city through traffic tickets? I thought there was a limit.

Comment (02/2009): 02/19/2009 Got nailed on Covington Hwy. leaving Avondale Estates. I was going with the flow of traffic and trying to merge over to the left for a left turn. Got nailed for doing a break-neck reckless speed of 43 in a 25 school zone on a five lane hwy. I turned onto Covington Hwy. from Clarendon and didn\'t see a school zone sign. I was concentrating on merging left and if there was a school zone sign I missed. My opinion, they are betraying a trust. Instead of taking actions that make the public look up to police officers, they are making us look at them as predators. Shame on you Avondale Estates government and police. How can you live with yourselves?
