The streach of hwy 82 between Enigma and Alapaha (small towns) is a wide open, divided four lane highway with no intersections, wooded on both sides, and traffic is light at all times. The posted speed limit is 55. The vast majority of this highway from the Ga. coast to the Alabama line with similar conditions is 65. This four mile streach of highway seems to be the only place for state and county traffic cops to work. It's easy to miss this reduction in speed limit becouse of the highway conditions so be careful. Traffic laws are supposed to protect safety and property of citizens, not enrich politicians and provide sport for cops. A set-up like this burns me inside, I was a traffic cop for nine years.

Comment (02/2010): Berrien County ignores backroads with all its drunks so they can collect from working people and harrass out of towners on Hwy.82.Local sheriff is a former GSP officer that allows his GSP buddies to participate also.80% of these officers need to be laid off and pick up cans for a living.
