City of demorest police are constantly watching for speeders. There is at least one officer with radar on in this town 3 out of every 5 times I go through this town (I do this 2 times every day, 5 days a week)

Comment (8/2002): I overheard a Police Officer from Demorest tell someone they look for any reason, no matter how small to pull someone over. I went through late one Saturday night and was obeying every traffic law, still an officer pulled in behind me and tailgated me. When that didn't rattle me, he slowed downed and got a good distance behind me then sped up and drove right on my bumper again. He repeated this process 4 or 5 times until he finally gave up. Sorry to disappoint you officer!

Comment (04/2008): The city of Demorest is not only a speed trap but they have become so comfortable having thier way with anyone from out of county that they look for anything at all or even make up something to pull over and harrass people. It used to be a nice little college town in North Georgia. I wouldn\'t send my children to college there. The place needs to be cleaned up now!!!
