It's at the bottom of a valley, steep downhill. There's a stop light at the bottom also. Speed limits change right near the bottom. Many inconsistent judgements on part of the police department. A trap especially for soldiers, especially mid-month and end-of-month (pay days for soldiers).
Comment (11/2004): Dittos on the way they target military members. In many countries the police, and military are simply two sides of the same coin (Local/Federal), and they never target each other as is done in the US.
Comment (4/2005): Hawaii police like anywhere that the slope lends to unintended extra speed, and Specially where the speedlimit suddenly drops well before any real reason for reduced velocity. Like a 45 to 25 transition.
Comment (2/2006): they will pull you over for anything, when we still had inspection stickers they got my dad, and gave him a ticket, you would think they could find something else to do. I used to do ride along's with warr acres, and on every shift all they do is run tags for wants or checking if stolen.
