Local police, with beautiful new police cars, well equipped, put the radar on you as you enter the town (Population 936)from the east. No warning tickets issued here,

Comment (6/2006): The City's name is spelled Clarence. The city's population is 1,008. The police cars are not brand new,they are both 1999 model year cars. Also I have personally been given a warning by the Police Chief on more than one occasion. I appreciate the effort here with this site but you should really get your fact straight if you are going to present them as facts. Thank you.

Comment (12/2006): I have driven through Clarence and have been given warnings by the officers on numerous occasions and thought they were professional and I thought I deserved the ticket if I got one. This town is small but, a very nice town and a department people in the town of Clarence should be proud of.

Comment (06/2008): I received a ticket for exceeding the speed limit in Clarence (25 mph) and went to court (2008) to find out more and they stated in court that they do not write warning tickets in Clarence. These comments about writing warnings are false or else the police lied in court.
