I have been through the City of Coffeyville several times. I have seen a lot of cars pulled over. The Police work the hell out of the State's "work zones" in the city- fines are double in those zones and the state hignway (US169) is always under construction. I was cited last fall, and again this spring. Both times the cops were ok. Don't think about going to the local traffic court- it's a waste of your time and money. THE COPS DO WANT IN YOUR CAR TO CHECK FOR GUNS, DRUGS, & MONEY! You don't have to let them in your car. City has several canine units that work drugs too. I have been told by locals at gas station that they don't like people of color. Watch your speed & the stop lights they work the highways really hard.

Comment (11/2003): If you have been pulled over twice in the same area, it doesn't sound like you are getting the hint (Slow Down). You can't believe everything you hear in the gas stations either.
