Traffic signs are placed such that upon leaving the slower city speed limits one is mislead into believing the 65 mph highway limit is again enforced, when there is a short distance of lower 'step up' limits. Officers merely park in this zone and ticket those who accelerate too quickly.

Construction of the highway going by this town, so you have to detour through the town to go on to Wichita. There is a work zone, so you have to slow down from 65 mph to 55 mph and then about 20 ft from the town a sign that says reduced speed 30 mph. Be aware that you had better slam on your brakes and get your speed to 30 mph right at the 30 mph sign or you will get a ticket that is doubled in the work zone. Sherrif car is there everyday and always has someone pulled over. I for one will never drive that route again to get to Wichita or do business in that small town of about 500 because they are hurting for money pretty bad.
