From mile marker 14 to about mile marker 36 is heavily enforced especially in the construction zone from mile marker 23 to mile marker 30. This area also has stationary radar machines that alert you to your speed as you pass by them.

Comment (11/2002): The police are there to stop drivers from running over the workers in the construction zone. The speed limit is 55 but the drivers won,t slow down.

Officer in black and white impala or crown vic parks about 100 yards off of the road on a farm driveway entrance and runs radar (they claim we don't have laser, but tickets say "confirmed by lidar"). In Kentucky the rule of thumb is 9 your fine, 10 your mine, which granted the police here seem to respect. But Thought I would warn all drivers (local and out of town) about this trap, because it is easy to get up to about 75-80 w/o realizing it. But in 55 mph (excluding construction) zones as long as you maintain 65 mph and under your fine...

Warren County Sherrif's dept, as well as KSP tend to patrol this area as it tends to be a drug running route for stuff moving north (thank you for taking care of that element officers!), and they set their radar guns to go off at about 65 mph through here, though there are a few spots where some like to nail people where it drops to 45 mph for intersections, but they are clearly marked and allow more than enough time to slow down for. But they like to hide out in the crest of the hill just past Chaney farms and Buchanon park and then go after speeders in either direction.. Southbound it is clearly visible for almost three miles from there, but if you're going northbound, there are a few mild ridges that impede visibility past 3/4ths of a mile. Be careful though in Woodburn, the local constable likes to camp out behind Crossroads market and then go out after speeders. Constables have countywide jurisdiction too, so not much chance to get away from the long arm of the law in woodburn--where tickets make up 98% of the revenue...
