The speed trap is between Exit 4 and Exit 12 on the Western Kentucky Parkway. This area is highly patrolled by KSP and Vehicle Enforcement Officers especially after 10PM and 2AM. Two of my three children have received speeding tickets on this stretch of WK PKWY. Both were late at night.
Comment (3/2006): There is a KSP headquarters located in the meduim of this road a short distance from the areas mentioned. Whether it be an intentional speedtrap or not I don't know. But there is always a high number of troopers because of their headquarter location.
Comment (10/2005): Anywhere in Caldwell County is bad news. The police are awful and they LOVE to search your car.
Comment (12/2005): The person who keeps saying that "all" of the police are "bad officers", obviuosly doesn't know all of the officers. There are acually officers in this city who care and want to do a good job as an officer. It's just so sad when someone gets arrested for being breaking the law that they in order for them to make themselves seem less of a thug to others, they have to try to take away some of the attention from themselves and spread lies about others. Very sad.
Comment (12/2005): Well it sounds like to me that the police officers are just doing there job. I am proud that they are getting drugs off the street, and one way of doing that is by searching cars. I am glad that my tax dollars are being used. So it sounds like to me that you are the "awful" that must have something to hide since you don't want the police officer searching your car.
Comment (4/2006): I say again, the cops in this area, at least the local ones are bad news. I am a law abiding citizen and I am afraid. If you are a tourist, stay out of this area.
Comment (8/2006): What is the 'trap' here? I don't see anything in the original post that indicates a deliberate attempt by law enforcement to cause a citizen to inadvertently violate the law. I'd be curious to see the public record of those caught.
