State highway patrol constantly on patrol between South point exit and Sam's exit

Comment (1/2003): I think this post pertains to South Point,OH which is across the river from Ashland,Ky.US 52 does not go through Ashland, but is parallel to US 23 directly across the river which divides the two states. The Ohio highway patrol are notorious in that area.

Comment (6/2004): They are not as bad as they once were. I commute to West Virginia via Kentucky and Ohio every day and keep it at 65 MPH and rarely pass by a cop, and when I do, I keep it in a pack.As others have noted, this is in Ohio, not Kentucky.

Comment (4/2004): this is in ohio- across from ashland,ky -- i live in flatwoods,ky -i travel the route all the time-the ohio state patrol is really bad on us 52
