The Bonita police are constantly chasing people down, even starting 1/2 mile from the city limits. That is really unethical in most people's minds.

Comment (5/2002): And at $165 for "49 MPH" in the cities 35 MPH buffer zone (like, 200 yards from city limits to 55 MPH it's a real bite.

Another case of small town trying to support city officials by unrealistic speeding tickets. Preys on out-of-state travelers. Tickets are $140+. Be careful because speed limit signs mean nothing.

Police Chief is usually the enforcer and is said to be popular in town. Getting out of the ticket is hard due to fixed system. He sits in front of the local buildings with the regular parked cars and is hard to see due to regular towns people parked in front of the stores. Speed keeps dropping from 65 to 55 to 45 to 35 to 25 and he's right there waiting. 45 MPH in a 25 MPH will cost approx $170. My attorney spoke to someone at City Hall and told me it was a speed trap and is common plus it's just past Ark state line. "Out-Of-Towners Beware"
