Heavy patrols, semi-hidden in medians (night), on/off radar,speed zones change with little signage, gung hoism They use this tactic: the use of electronic speed measurement devices to clock vehicles within 100 yards of a speed limit sign that reduces the speed limit. They did it at 1:30 am, using a temp. construction zone speed limit sign and then staking it out, with the patrol car sitting in the service road turn off, waiting as you enter from a 55 to that 45 mph zone, with NO nighttime construction.

LA1 North and south runs through Addis a small community surrounded by sugarcane fields. There is a large "S" curve north of the Dow Chemical refinery that is prime location for the sneaky cops. At night they are especially diligent, since there is a low median and also a service road to hide on that a car's headlights do not illuminte until its too late. Proceed with caution.
