During Hurricane Rita's evacuation other towns turned their traffic lights to blinking to allow traffic to flow freely, Ball set up an extensive speed trap. In Ball, La. the speed limit goes from 55 to 45 to 35 then a school zone all with in a mile distance. If you go one mile over the limit you will get a ticket. This goes on non stop during all hours of the day and night.
Comment (1/2006): Ball, Louisiana is the mother of all speed traps in Louisiana. There is much I could tell you, but just suffice it to say that I know personally someone who paid cash-on-the-spot instead of taking the ticket. There is no conscience in Ball.
Comment (2/2006): Ball, La. is bad, I agree, but they don't even come close to WOODWORTH, LA, located about 10 miles south of Alexandria, La. on Hwy 165. The comments on Woodworth are MUST reading for ALL motorists.
