Police hide behind anything that sits still long enough. Officer is very gruff and rude. She will write you no matter what your excuse is. Minimum fine is $207.00
Comment (5/2006): you are traveling 55mph,the legal speed-the 40mph sign comes into view- you take your foot off the gas and decelerate as you go round a curve and there she sets with her radar on you still going around 50.A classic trap.
Comment (3/2006): I agree, I was ticketed in April 2004 the officer was 1/4 away waiting as I came around a curve on US 84 eastbound. She had her lights on before I could even tell that I was entering the city. Rude and costly. I googled the town. One police officer, no building permits for a couple of years, city income (tickets?) Ticket never showed up on my driving record.
Comment (9/2006): The speed limit is posted well on all sides of town, the intersection they sit at is a busy one, so if you are caught speeding it's your fault, you should obey the posted speed limit, this prevents accidents. You shouldn't wait to get caught, you should obey the law always, not just fuss cause you got caught. This is not a speed trap. In my many passes throught this town, the She is usually sitting in plain site at the old store at the intersection, in plain view!...
Comment (11/2006): Ticketing should be in response to endangerment. They could be written in any town as fast as they could write. There is no excuse for a small town to be a ticket trap other than greed and jobs for underhanded citizens and judges
