Bridge is about 20 miles long and has a limit of 60 MPH, when lanes go back to the ground, the sign say's 70 MPH. You speed up, you get a ticket.

Comment (6/2003): Bad Area, have seen unmarked old GMC Jimmys with dash lights patrolling.

Comment (6/2003): They always sit in the median looking at the east bound lanes coming off the bridge.Do NOT begin 70 until you hit the sign. There is a hill just before exiting the bridge. Baton Rouge Truck Driver

Comment (8/2003): Got poped there about 4 years ago. I will never forget, nor forgive that cold county-mounty. My car was un-Air-Cond'd, and my poor dog & I had to sit sweltering for 30 minutes while this rent-a-cop scrawled my ticket. I am very slow throug there, now.

Comment (7/2004): They now have some Jeep Cherokees and Bronco's dark in Color hard to see at night and if you are not at sign do not get up to 70 until at sign or past it that is there way to do drug searches I-10 is major funnel from Mexico for illegal narcotics and they make there money off the seizures

Comment (11/2004): Agree! After leaving the basin Bridge, You will see one or two patrol vehicles waiting for the speeders off the bridge (Eastbound to Baton Rouge). Wait until you pass them before accelerating to the 70 MPH speed limit. I see them almost every night.
