One or two troopers are always having speed traps at the Barnstable Rest Area between exits 6 and 7.

Comment (12/2004): If this is the rest stop I am thinking about heading East Bound ,there is an additional rest stop road further back lined with with trees, so it is hard to see from the highway. Troopers stay back on that road since it is well hiden behind the info building and some trees. Because of the additional road which is not visible from the highway, one sees the reat stop road and assumes its clear, but don't let that fool you.

Comment (03/2008): That OLD rest area was called MILE 69 REST AREA before they closed it and built a bigger one a MILE EAST -slow down for both. Another spot is about a mile after EXIT 8 (Eastbound) at N.Dennis Rd Bridge-here the cop sits in the median and can see in either direction-you WON\'T see him.
