Anne Arundel County Police target the Belle Grove and 10th Avenue intersection by the Bingo Hall more at the end of the month (to meet quotas) and a lot more in the month of June. There is much more year-round ticketing when the county budget is not supplemented enough by the State government as in this year (FY2004). There are usually 2-4 marked cruisers hidden around curves on this road. The intersection cited is not the only intersection targeted since cops hide all along Belle Grove road. I just happened to see 10 cars stopped by 4 Anne Arundel County cops on 6/14/03 around 6 pm under the 895 spur. Thankfully, the motorist in front of me somehow knew about them (he kept braking) and had slowed to 30 mph coming from Rt 648 onto Belle Grove Rd all the way through Pumphrey to Brooklyn. Otherwise, they would have most certainly nailed me. The speed limit is 30 mph but you can very safely go 45 mph and this is what most people do unless the cops are out.

Comment (9/2003): Agreed! I've been pulled over twice here, doing 45 in the 30mph. The second time I get pulled over, I was let off easy. Didn't have my seatbelt on, so I just got a ticket for that! But yes, be very careful, they like to park under the bridge and catch southbound people on Belle Grove, in the parking lot of the Bingo place, and in the parking lot of the Veteran's place. Do 40 or below to be safe.

the officers sit at the church onn the rock and village liq. Or they will sit on side street such as franklin st or numuras other streets
