Located right where the speed limit changes from 55 to 45, and on the top of the hill so it's hard to see. They really have you, because many people go 65-70 on that stretch of Rt. 4, so you could be cited going 70 in a 45 zone. Be really careful.

Comment (3/2004): Yes, I agree. The route 4 corridor in Calvert countyis heavily patroled! Beware, with little crime there'slots of time for traffic enforcement and most folks have a long commute so speeds are high (65-80)

Comment (03/2007): Rarely do I see radar here anymore. This stretch is extremely unsafe because of the aggressive driving and ridiculous speeds. Anyone who has ever gotten a ticket in this spot deserves to lose their license. Traffic trying to slow down for the light at Ward Rd for left turns in the shopping center is harassed by the speeders and aggressives. VERY UNSAFE! Police in Calvert County DO NOT look for aggressive drivers. The Sheriff and State Police PREFER to sit in lawn chairs with radar guns on wide stretches and issue warnings.
