NOTE - I've seen this trap going Eastbound and Westbound on Roland. Westbound - After coming down the hill just before Bryn Mayr High School, there is a slight curve to the right. About 200 yds ahead, there are 3-5 cops Laser gunning you who will wave you down. The speedlimit is 30 MPH here! Eastbound - After coming down the hill from the other direction and taking a slight left turn, there are the same number of cops about 200 yds ahead on a side street to the right with Laser guns. Again, the speed limit is 30 MPH.

Comment (1/2003): I am a student a Gilman school, the school across from Bryn Mawr. The two schools often coordinate classes and students used to jay walk to get to class on time. However this is not the case because we installed a bridge between the two schools last year! The speed limit is ridiculous because it is a school zone even though you will get suspended if you cross the street not using the bridge. ALong with Roland Avenue this is the most overrated speed limit I know. Thankfully they let me off with a seatbelt ticket rather than a $270 for 20mph+

Comment (2/2004): On the eastboud side of Northern Parkway at the referenced location the posted speed limit is 35 miles per hour. On the Westbound side of Northern Parkway at the same location it is 30 mph.

Comment (6/2004): This web site is stupid. Speedtraps serve a good purpose. If drivers would slow down then speedtraps would not be necessary. I am well aware of the speedtraps in and around Baltimore. I give myself plenty of time to arrive at my destination, hence I do not have to speed. People are in too much of a hurry. They simply need to slow down and don't give me that bit about being run over. Yes, they will come up close to you and tailgate but what would you prefer a ticket, points, etc, or a tailgater.
