Cars will park on the soft shoulder on the raod or sit at the ends of side streets. Cars will patrol the road for hours at a time.

Comment (10/2004): This entire area in Beverly Hills is all a ridiculious 25mph zone, with a couple hundred feet of 30mph exceptions and some very picky officers. Don't speed here, ever.

Comment (3/2005): I agree with the additional comment. Police write radar tickets without ever running radar - all they need to see is the detector in your car. Expect multiple tickets for "obstructing windshield" view with coil-y cord.

Comment (7/2005): I agree with both of these. Even though 14 mile is a major mile road, it is only 30 mph. I was pulled over for going 35 in the 30 zone. They're real picky.

Police will monitor cars moving West on 14 crossing Southfield Road heading toward Birmingham Country club. Police are usually not visible from the hiding spot but they have a perfect view of you.
