LEOs like to sit on the Noble Avenue overpass and pick off speeders going west on 610, chasers pickup on the other side of the overpass. It is very easy to do do 80mph on the new 610 and not realize it. posted speed is 65mph.

Usually a state trooper will sit at the entrance to 169 south from 63rd. I would always see them on the way to work in the mid morning, but i know others who see them in the early mornings.

Begining on Edgemont their is a somewhat steep hill where they tend to wait for you to come over. You can't see them until you come over the hill, when it is too late.

Watch out driving on Noble. Police hide there cars behind trees! I got a ticket for going 35 in this 30 mph street. Also I noticed there are some undercovers in Crown Vics. Usually navy blue and green colors. Does anyone know of any other colors they have been seen driving in?

Between 85th Ave N and Brookdale Dr, officers monitor both directions of traffic, usually by parking on the side of Xerxes between parked civilian cars or sitting on a cross street. It is very difficult to notice an officer until you're right next to him.

If you are on 169 going North, the cops will sit on the grass at 63rd Ave, but you don't see them until you go over the hill past 94. I travel this route a few times a week and see cops about every other week there.

Tere are 2 traps that I have seen at this overpass the first is a officer on the overpass guns you and radios the cars on the on ramp your make. Seen three all in a row one day. The Second is when heading west on HW610 and exiting onto noble parkway it is signed no turn on red. The police park at the park and ride and just stand on the corner and watch people turn the corner on red. Hence they walk out in the street and make you pull over.

As you exit onto 63rd Ave exit East. from 169 S you drive down a >20 degree hill in a 30mph zone to meet 2 squads parked on the right side of the street. They take turns with their new LIDAR toys and just walk onto the street and tell you to pull over. And give you a ticket. Talk about them being traffic hazards themselves! They don't ask for Reg., or Insurance info, they just want your License with current address. They come back with the Minimum $130 moving violation ticket. What a scam. One girl I work with got nabbed last week and she asked to see the speed reading on the LIDAR, they refused. I got nabbed today. ANYONE, yes anyone who gets hit at the bottom of this hill will get a ticket unless they ride the brake all the way down..30mph zone? Geez..its a hill..anyone heard of gravity? Looks like the local Police have found the perfect place to generate revenue for the city. This seems like a quasi-illegal entrapment situation..They were blocking the whole right lane with their vehicles and just walking out in traffic to tell us to pull to the side...for some reason this just does not sit right with me..Anyone agree? They were actually blocking the right turn lane?? Get the word out.

The cop stands behind/next-to the light pole at the intersection just north of Brookdale Dr. on Humbolt, on the west side of Humbolt, checking cars going south. He is almost always out of his car and waves over the speeders. Car isn't visible until to late.

After/Before the Mississippi River bridge on the Hennipen County side (West River Road overpass), MN HWY 610 splits into MN HWY 610 west, and MN HWY 252 south (two lanes dedicated to both). The speed limit is 65 MPH, and the road curves slightly after nearly three miles of straightaways. Right in the middle of the road, after the cement lane barriers end, there is a handy flat spot for "emergency turn arounds" that just happens to be wide enough for a full size sedan to park at an angle. This is usually enforced by state troopers (but not always)in their dark cars after midnight on the weekends. I was really lucky, when I discovered this, for they were aimed toward the other side of the highway. Just a heads up, Anoka/Hennepin counties and Brooklyn Park/Coon Rapids have a jurisdiction agreement that allows them to enter the opposite (so don't try to run).

On 63rd Ave North, just North of Crystal Airport between Zane Ave and Cnty Rd/Hwy 81. The speed is 30MPH, and its tough to go slower than 35-40. The squad cars sit in the dead end streets adjacent to the airport. I see them 2 or 3 mornings each week on way to work. They aslo like to park at the bottom (out of immediate site)of the Zane Ave bridge where Zane Ave crosses over 694. They use both Laser and Radar (Ka Band). I bought a radar/laser dectector for this reason.

05/30/06 at 2:18pm Memorial Day. Two Brooklyn Park Police just outside of the highway entrance from 94W to 169N to pulled us over. Did not ask for proof of insurance. Just wanted our license and gave us a ticket and said that the LASER was very accurate! I asked for to view the LASER report and he refused! Watch out! $142.00 per car money making operation going on!
