anyone driving from lino lakes or hugo beware, unconstitutional policing is here in centerville, radar will be the first mode of stopping, all others are what they see or want to appear to see! high beams on....etc these cops will site you without having the radar on. say they must have radar vision!? BEWARE OF MAIN ST IN CENTERVILLE, speed limit enforced!

Comment (4/2003): Traveling east or west on mainstreet any where between Blaine and Hugo you will see cops. I drive for a living, and have driven the roads of minnesota extensively, and have never seen such a consistant presence of cops as here. A confusing roller coaster of varying speed limits keeps them busy. I only drive this during the day and can only imagine how much worse it gets sat night on this bar and tavern laiden route.

Comment (7/2003): Main Street in Centerville is watched very closily, as is the road around Centerville Lake. As this little community is being developed, and the transplanted metro drivers go through town, they tend to believe the speed limits are archaic. The speed limit is 30, and they mean 30. I see alot of Lino Lakes Officers in Centerville. I think they like to protect little Centerville, from becoming like the fast-paced Twin Cities.

Comment (2/2004): I live in the town of Centerville, and to say the level of enforcement is high is an understatement. On a Friday or Saturday night it is not unusual to see between 2 and 3 squad cars on the mile or so stretch of main street between 35e, & Kelly's bar in down town Centerville. Another great spot for hiding is behind a group of trees going around Centerville lake. My recommendation to all is this; do the speed limit, and if you've been drinking, do not drive thru Centerville at all; eventually your number will come up.

Comment (2/2004): Lino/Centerville area has a ton of cops. They site on the road to the boat launch to Peltier Lake too. Cty Rd 14/Main Street from 35E to Lake Drive in Lino has a is their favorite hang out. Now that WaterWorks isn't as popular any more its not as bad. Also look out west of Lake and Main Street. They sit in the school parking lot behind the trees. Bottom line, Don't Speed in Lino/Centerville
