There are several gradual wide open hills in this area (3-4 lanes each way) which is a great spot for laser. I got caught for 86 in a 65 zone with very light traffic. The cops were very proud of the fact that their laser gun defeated my non-laser V1 detector. I haven't seen much enforcement during morning and evening rush hour, this happened at around 11AM.

Comment (10/2002): I am in this area regularly. City of Bourbon has a grant for an officer dedicated to hwy safety on 44. Fortunately, it's not laser. He's using a Ka band radar detector. My Bel 980 picks him from 1 - 2 miles every time.

Comment (12/2002): I was also stopped along here and am fighting my ticket. Does anyone know what grant it was that the city of Bourbon received, or how long they have had it? I was stopped around eight or so in the evening- and amazingly it was for going 86 also. Coincidense? I think not!

Comment (1/2003): Ditto, same mile marker same speed 86. cruise set at 70 saw him on right shoulder west bound side. had him recheck me up road at 65 he says 75! have a nice day $100 theft for city of Bourbon

Comment (1/2003): Last year the Bourbon cop pulled over a man for speeding and wrote him a ticket and let him go. The following week it was on 20/20 because the man he let go was one of the FBI's 10 most wanted...way to go Officer Friendly.

Bourbon and/or Leasburg exits. Heavily patrolled. They seem to come out of nowhere. 82 in a 70 at 7 am with no one near me
