Police hide, watching for you. Everyone avoids this town if possible. About 1 to 1 1/2 miles long you must creep along. There is a school zone for 3 or 4 blocks. We agree to 30 miles per hour along that part. The rest is uncalled for.

Comment (6/2006): Lived in Bismarck back in 1960-62, have gone back for school reunions and had no problems. Signs are posted and easy to see. I try to have slowed down by the time I reach the sign and do not speed up until I've passed the sign.

Comment (11/2006): Bismarck has a 45 speed limit sign at the end of town, don't start speeding up until you pass it, they like to hide out there and abuse the speed limit sign.
