There is no trap US72 through Corinth City limits is a free for all. The cops are so busy making sure there in there area they have now time for enforcement.
Comment (5/2006): I would have to disagree. Corinth P.D. and the State Police regularly patrol hwy 72 in Corinth. Just be careful in the area of Harper Road and hwy 72 going East to the City limits.
Comment (6/2006): I also disagree, be especially careful Hwy 72/eastbound just outside Corinth city limits. Additionally, we encountered a State Trooper who was extremely arrogant & short tempered. Since when is it against the law to ask to see a radar reading? New Albany County Highway Patrol Captain & the Justice Court's office seem to think it reasonable that their officers clutch a holstered gun during a traffic stop and speed out throwing gravel on a citizen's car. Really makes you wonder whether the mission is to save lives or generate revenue. My votes for the later.
Comment (6/2006): Police departments have no jurisdiction of speed on any MS HWY but, they can give you reckless driving citations inside the city limits. If they say they caught you for speeding ask for the speed to be put on the citation. Enforcement for speeding on HWY's in Mississippi is strictly Mississippi HWY Patrol. Ask the Corinth PD about it.
