Motorist leaving Casino Magic need to advised that the speed limit on the road that leads to Hwy 90 (Blue Meadow) is set at 25MPH. Bay St Louis probably writes 80% of its tickets on Blue Meadow and Main Street taking advantage of the locals and tourist alike with these unrealistic slow speed limits. Although their is a school on this road the speed limit is the same (25MPH) for the entire stretch day or night.

Comment (9/2003): I would think that a prudent person would have enough self-control to drive the mile and a half to the casino access road at a safe speed and not like a bat out of hell. I guess that the school being there isnt very important either. Think people.

The only reason for 25 mph when school is not in session is for speed trap use. 35 mph is reasonable and safe on this road. The local cops use the spot in front of the school and behind the wall by Eckerd Drugs. The only reason for these traps is best places in town to hide and everyone in the neighborhood can pay. To have a speed trap at this location in the middle of the summer is rediculous.

Patrolman parks in auto repair shop for police vehicles behind hedges. Auto repair shop is 200 yards south of Hwy. 90 heading south bound on Washington Ave on your left. Posted speed limit is 25 mph.
