Mainly winter & summer seasons, Georgetown Lake & Ski Resort approx. 16 miles west of Anaconda. More so when coming in from the lake. Speed drops from 70mph to 45mph,they often hide in trees. Well patroled area. More so a tourist speed trap.
Comment (1/2004): I get the feeling that in addition to it being a speed trap the highway leading into Anaconda from the west is double yellow line for several miles of very straight road. There would appear to be no danger passing but I believe they use this to trap tourists who speed or pass an exceptionly slow car.
Comment (08/2007): Anaconda is a basic depressed town and it appears that fines play a BIG part in the cities revenues they have a 25mph speed limit on a streightaway that is like crawling so they watch this stretch leading out of town very closely beware
