just south of town limits 75 drops to 35. as you enter the town limits, county sheriff are cruising slow to catch you speeding, then nail you with a hefty fine

Comment (11/2003): There is no 75 limit on highway 87. The speed limit does however drop from 70 to 45 to 35 then 25 in town! Pay attention!

Comment (3/2003): I suggest that you pay closer attention to the signs that are posted. The speed limits for rural non-interstate highways in Montana are 65 day and 55 night, not 75. Makes it easier to slow down to 35, doesn't it?

Comment (5/2004): the speed limit for rural 2 lane hyways in MT is 70 daylight, 65 night; we do not have "rural interstates", we have a us interstate system for which the speed limit is 75, day or night
