Once upon a time, blasting through BSL was no big deal. And then the town saved some money and bought a radar gun...watch out !!! Small town cops with way too much time on their hands equals lots of tickets being handed out.
Comment (10/2002): The speed limit drops AFTER you pass the high school going north and before you come past the fire department on your left going south. This is a rural area not a town but write tickets for anyone going over 55 in the 45 to get you for 10 over. The signs are very easily overlooked. It is a scam, you will about 20 letters in the mail from attornys that will get it reduced to a improper equipment ticket for $250 and cort cost. There is no way the courts could process all the tickets written.
Comment (2/2004): The BSL cops used to hide early in the AM close to the radio tower on the right headed north just at the city limits. He/she was actually parked outside the city limits sign. Often felt that the officer was wasting taxpayer's money, because should have been patrolling town (not city) like he was getting paid for. Haven't seen them there recently, so, maybe someone complained. New spot is on the right just as you pass the golf course headed north early AM, and close to the bridge anytime. BEWARE! he has a tail-gunner, and while headed in opposite direction, is really clocking those coming up from behind.

Officer tends to sit just North of Fifty Lakes Drive in a clump of pine trees close to the golf course. Sometimes closer to the lake in a little valley beside the road and also beside the road near the golf course. He has a tail gunner, so he can get you from either direction. Traps are most likely in the early AM, while still dark.
