Usually on weekend nights and other late nights during late bar hours until after the bars close. They'll always ask if you had anything to drink, even if you've got nothing and are clearly sober. A campus police officer (probably different cops on different nights) hides out in unlighted area in parking lot just west of Dacotah Field (the old football stadium). Don't drive behind another car that's speeding, because he'll pull YOU over regardless, and not the car in front. People ALWAYS go 20-25 mph on campus during the day, because the posted limit is only 15, and it's usually not enforced. But never go over 20 mph late at night on the north campus.

After exiting the town of Fargo, heading north on I-29 the local police will issue tickets if you start accelerating any amount up to highway speeds before the speed zone changes. Don't speed up until you cross the sign.

Motorcycle police face eastbound from across University and laser westbound drivers as the drivers approach them. The speed limit at the western area of this road is unrealistically low at a miserable 25 mph, even though it would be perfectly safe to drive 45 or 50. This is a real sleazy speed trap designed to raise revenue at the expense of unsuspecting motorists $$ and reputation (driving record). The notion that the police in this case are enforceing "public safety" is purely polical rehetoric.

ND highway patrol will often run laser in this area. There will be one trooper on a overpass running laser, and 4-5 troopers waiting on the side of the road.They usually lock on at 1,000FT. They will radio to chase cars your speed and the distance. In the 75 zone, anything over 82 will get you a ticket. They also will give seat belt tickets.The troopers in North Dakota refer to this area as the "Honeyhole", because of the money it generates from giving speeding tickets.

Contruction zone. Traffic is reduced to 1 lane and people are being clocked in the area well before the restriction and then stopped in the construction zone! Talk about a safety problem. I was doing 5 under before the zone and in the zone when stopped but clocked while slowing down. 4 others got nailed while I was waiting. This is the first time I've been unfairly ticketed. The other 4 may feel the same.
