It was timed; I'm not certain whether VASCAR or not. Trooper waved me down (red Audi). Don't believe I was going faster than most traffic.
Comment (10/2002): To expand on this posting: I89 south from Lebanon area to Sunapee/New London (approx exit 12 - intense in Newport County) ground white highway markings in place for air patrol to ground officers (state). In turn the same exists in the north bound I89 portion. Speed also drops to 55 for absolutely no justifiable reason except for speed trap purposes throughout this section and recently "covered" speed signs indicate as low as 45 in select section in south bound! Newport County Court historically known for corruption - remains corrupt not only the judge, but staff as well. Refused discovery requests, staff lies about receiving "all" certified mail, delay in notification process, general info requests refused, due process blantantly ignored. This stretch of state highway is a serious speed trap with the sole intent to generate revenues illegally. Pilot identified wrong vehicle (defendant didn't own such car), "victims" still found guilty! History repeating itself even in this century! A fact!
Comment (7/2003): In regards to the response posted to this posting, where Air Patrol is mentioned, a biker who was cited for speeding by an officer on the ground for a speed violation determined by an air patrol, Beat the ticket. He challanged the ticket stating that it was not written by the officer who clocked him and therefore was hersay information. the article was in Easyriders (a biker mag.) he took it all the way to the state supreme court and his claim was upheld there, setting precidence for this type of situation.
