Unmarked civilian car is pulled over on the right-hand side median, as if the car had an emergency or something of that matter. The limit speed is 65 mph but most motorists head down fast from the downhill decline of the road, and since I happened to be doing 87 mph just to stay with traffic, I got fingered by the cops.
Comment (10/2003): You were doing 87 m.p.h.? and call it a trap?
Comment (10/2003): I travel that route from N.Y.C. to Penna. twice weekly and agree with this evaluation. As a matter of fact, there are a few "HOT SPOTS" along this route. With the high volume of traffic along this route,I usually see,on the average,3 vehicles pulled over during my journies. You're better off going fast on the up-grades and coasting over the top.Better yet...don't go over 70.
Comment (1/2005): I travel that same route 5 to 6 times a week for the past 16 years, and never had a problem.
Comment (1/2005): Whom ever sent in this location is off by 8 to 12 miles Alamuchy is between 18 and 22 miles from the Pa. tolls.
Comment (2/2005): The WHole Interstate 80 is infested with police. its a very wide, sweeping road with plenty of lanes where you can safely do upwards of 80, or even drift up there without noticing it, but the Jersey State Police are always out. personally, I've seen them back up embankments or park in the median throughout the whole road. Cruise Control was invented for this road
Comment (3/2005): Eastbound Mile marker 10: usually a copWestbound Mile Marker 15 (or so): usually a cop.I used to regularly commute on I-80, before I moved closer to work. Normally depending on the which rush hour, there can be a cop near the Hope/Blairstown exit.Never really saw much around the Allamuchy/Hackettown exit (exit 19)
Comment (6/2005): 87 miles an hour is not a trap. It's someone not using a good radar detector lol
