On Broad St, south of Rt 3 about 1 mile. From 40 mph to 25 mph. Happened in front of our office, 1515 Broad St. Four people just from our department got tickets!
Comment (5/2005): This entry is 100% accurate. The trap has been there for years. I got nailed with a 4 point ticket for doing 41 in a 25 several years ago. Its almost impossible to tell that the speed limit suddenly changes as you come down the hill on Broad Street.
Comment (6/2005): How do you fight this Bloomfield ticket? Any advise is appreciated. Three in my building got nailed today!
Comment (6/2005): This is very true. There is another one a little further down on Broad St. by the Commerce Bank as well.
Comment (4/2006): The speed limit at that address has always been 25MPH. If coming from Rt. 3 the speed limit changes from 40MPH to 25MPH at the right before the Alexander Ave and Broad Street intersection. The 25 MPH speed limit sign is a little dirty and could use a little freshen up but by the time you hit 1515 Broad St., you should be very well into the 25MPH zone. From there all the way to the downtown Bloomfield area where you can find the best Asian restaurant (Pandan Asian Cuisine), the speed limit is 25MPH. Happy motoring and be careful out there.
Comment (6/2005): I have seen these cameras all over the place and they make me mad to say the least. All this is is another way for Big Brother to watch over all of us with out without even having to be there.
