The New Jersey portion of the Palisades Interstate Parkway, which runs from the George Washington Bridge up to Exit 4 at the New York State line is a notorious speed trap. The posted limit is 50, but absolutely no one drives at that speed, it's more like 60-65+, so, since virtually every single driver on the road is in violation of the posted speed limit at any given time, the cops just sit at the side of the road and pick off drivers like a spider sitting in a web gathering flies. Good luck!

Comment (2/2003): One specific place to watch out for is on the ramp where the sign says "Parkway police". They often sit there and are pointed straight at you.

Comment (6/2003): You just have to watch out for cops throughout Bergen County, every town has their own speed traps.

Comment (4/2004): i agree. Recently they have been hiding in the lookout spots
