long road from fort sumner to sante rosa or from santa rosa to clovis. highly pratroled in all areas by rookie state patrolmen.if you pass someone going under the posted limit dont go over the speed limit or they will stop you.

Comment (2/2005): after managing to get my car started after breaking down i came up behind a car that pulled out in front of me. i proceeded topass the car and was pulled over for speeding. the officer was very rude and when i explained that i was having car problems and that the car had died and wouldn't restart after i pulled over for him his reply was that "sounds like you need a mechanic" and handed me my ticket, got in to his car and left me stranded 18 miles from fort sumner

Comment (3/2005): i was traveling east from fort sumner to clovis and was ran off the road by a very dangerous driver. i called 911 to report this person and was told that an officer would look it to it. a few miles down the road an officer had this person stopped. i pulled over to tell the officer that i was the one who reported the other car. he was a state policeman and was very professional. he thanked me for reporting the driver and told me to have a safe trip. as i drove away, i noticed the other driver in the back seat of the officer's car, obviously in handcuffs and on the ground near the other driver's car was five beer cans. i think the state policemen in fort sumner don't get enough praise.

Comment (1/2006): You must have been speeding...I have lived here in Fort Sumner for years, and routinley travel 5 to 7 miles an hour over the posted limit. I have never gotten a ticket.I think you must of had a bad day. However do not speed thru the village of Fort SUmner, especially the school zone. You will be cited.
