A plain white, late 90's Taurus 4-door sedan is outfitted with stealth flashers and local sheriff radio equipment. It cruises throughout the county, but mostly in Minden and Gardnerville. Frequently it is just used to alert cops to a transgressor, however it has been known to make stops of its own. Mostly looking for unsafe drivers and excessive speeders.

Comment (3/2006): I have heard this is true. Also, the Nevada Highway Patrol is using unmarked dark blue Chevy Tahoes in our area. The Tahoe will drive the speed limit in the fast lane and wait for passes on the right. This may result in a talk.Great web site. Keep it up!
