As you are on I84 Westbound, coming down the big mountain right before the exit to the Taconic. There is a turnaround there, and quite often, especially at night, there is a cop sitting there. Generally using Ka band, but also have been hit with both instant on and Laser. Its a fairly steep decline so you must ride the brakes or downshift, and with the posted limit as 55 (despite being an interstate) this location is a hot spot.

Comment (12/2004): Same location: troopers like to sit under the I-84 overpass to tag motorist on the Taconic Parkway, North and South.

Comment (5/2005): definitely watch your speed in East Fishkill / I-84 overpass area on the TSP. Tickets are the town's main source of income.
