About a quarter of a mile before the last exit on the west bound belt parkway before the belt turns into the gowanus there is a cop on turn hiding behind the overpass

Comment (7/2005): That whole stretch from the Verrazano untill the end is watched. The troopers also wait on the entrance ramp from 4th Ave and clock you from behind(right under the VZ bridge). There are 2 more spots they lurk along that stretch. They've been working those spots as long as I can remember, I used to watch them as a little kid(I'm 40).

Comment (3/2006): I have observed this trap many times before over the years. Belt Parkway speed traps seem to intensify during mid-morning (9:30am - 11:00 AM)

Comment (4/2006): The cops are some times also west bound just after the draw bridge or around the mobile station. Also just after the verizano bridge as mentiond above. The speed is 50 MPH and you better be doing 50 even if your a cop cause these scum bags work for big brother and they love it!
