Angelica is a lovely old town featuring lots of antique shops and an historic circle. The main street between Hwy 86 and west toward St route 19 is a norotious speed trap, as the speed limit is artificially low well out of the village. A town cop patrols actively, and hides along near a dirt pile/salt storage area on the left (as you go west) out of town. Coming from 19, that means he'll nab you just as you go over the bridge heading into the village.

Comment (12/2005): I got a ticket from a cop hiding behind that dirt/salt pile 20 years ago.

Comment (3/2006): They get you coming into town over the I-86 bridge, which is a relatively steep downhill grade with a sudden change from 55 mph to 35 mph. Almost impossible to go 35 in that location.

Comment (3/2006): I travel back and forth between Olean and Ithaca quite often on business. I have driven cross country several times and I don't think any other road is as polluted with Troopers as I-86 is. Between Binghamton and Salamanca that road is literally a nightmare to drive along, especially considering that there isn't much traffic.
