Don't speed as you travel down Woodruff Rd!! It is quite hilly and is hard to see the Hamilton County Sheriff's car patrol for speeders. Once you do, it's usually too late. They will only give you 5 miles per hour over. Every once in a while, the officer will sit in a driveway near Asbury Rd. The Sheriff's always use K-band radar. That's all they have!! A teenage girl was speeding and lost control on the road last year and was killed. So, it is patrolled quite regularly now. Watch out!
Comment (4/2004): Another hot spot for police cruisers to sit and monitor is on Beechmont Avenue in Beech Acres parking lot, as well as in the parking lot of Big Apple Bagle. The stretch of road in that area does not have as many traffic lights and is pretty straight, so people tend to speed. The speed limit is 40MPH and is enforced pretty rigorously.
Comment (5/2005): there are no cops there.
Comment (5/2005): I agree with the comment from 9/2003. I have recently seen many Hamilton County Sheriff's Deputies patrolling along Woodruff Rd. The residents say they are fed up with the speeding cars and people jumping the hill. There are many families who have kids along this road and they are concerned for their safety. Don't speed along Woodruff-it will cost you a $104.00 ticket and 2 points on your license. It's not worth it.
